藝術家許唐瑋即將在罐子茶書館展開睽違已久的台北個展「寫生集」(A Selection of Sketchings )，並於9日下午三點舉辦開幕茶會，展現他以畫作、寫生和雕塑呈現的想像世界。

CANS TEA & BOOK HOUSE is pleased to present a solo exhibition of works by young Taiwanese artist Tang-Wei Hsu. For this exhibition, the artist intends to show us a world of his self-imagination, which is pieced together with real surroundings and fancied stories.

擁有專業建築背景的許唐瑋，想像力天馬行空，創作風格鮮明活躍的他，曾多次在受邀到美國擔任藝廊駐村藝術家。目前旅居紐約的許唐瑋認為，每個小圖騰或許是一個小星球或是小動物，混合著現實環境與虛幻故事的拼湊，有些來自一整個生物系，像是記載某種文明的想像與物種演化的時間過程，同時也是擠壓時間與空間後所繁衍出的新生態系概念。他除展示畫作外，也將展出受到大眾喜愛的雕塑作品，以不同形式的藝術表現他的想像空間。

許唐瑋建築人的邏輯思維可以從他的畫作與實驗寫生觀察出，綿密繁複的層次與清新俐落的線條，使他的作品每次看都能給人新的啟發。「像建築一樣有固定架構和各種角度，發展出各式各樣的圖像，時常一有想法就可以三天不眠不休的創作、約可畫近200個圖像」，他估計八年來已有5000多個圖像創作，且沒有一個重複。

「寫生集」個展展至12月8日止，11月9日禮拜六下午三點，許唐瑋將在展場舉辦開幕茶會並分享創作理念，歡迎喜愛藝術的您共襄盛舉。

In Hsu’s creation, some are characterized by an unknown biological system, appearing to delineate the fantasy of civilization as well as to record the course of speciation; meanwhile, it can be seen as a new ecotype that propagates after time and space have been compressed. The exhibition, starting from such an illusory story, invites us to re-think and re-explore the whole environment of reality, the world we live.
